SWCD MASTERS RULES 2024

THERE WILL BE THREE DIVISIONS.  PRO, STATE AMATEUR AND DISTRICT AMATEUR.  PLAYERS WILL NEED ONE POINT TO BE ELIGIBILE TO PLAY. 

THERE IS NO LIMIT AS TO THE NUMBER OF TIMES A PLAYER CAN PLAY IN EITHER THE DISTRICT AM OR STATE AM TOURNAMENT AS LONG AS THEY ARE ELIGIBLE AND HAVE NOT MOVED UP TO THE NEXT DIVISION.

THERE MUST BE AT LEAST 6 ELIGIBLE PLAYERS IN A SINGLE DIVISION (MEN OR LADIES’) TO HOLD A DIVISION TOURNAMENT.

IF THERE IS LESS THAN 6 ELIGIBLE PLAYERS IN ANY SINGLE DIVISION, PLAYERS (MEN & LADIES) WILL BE COMBINED INTO ONE DIVISION TOURNAMENT WITH THE TOP (8) PLAYERS (DETERMINED BY CURRENT MASTER POINTS) PARTICIPATING (AND AS DETERMINED BY THE CURRENT MASTERS COMMITTEE). 

FORMAT

A 12-FRAME NON-WALKING FORMAT WILL BE USED IN ALL DIVISIONS.  SCORECARDS ARE TO BE SIGNED BY BOTH PLAYERS FOLLOWING EACH MATCH.

PLAYERS WILL PLAY TWO GAMES AGAINST EACH OPPONENT, ONE ON EACH ‘COLOR.’  THUS, TOTAL GAMES IN EACH DIVISION WILL BE 14 GAMES.

IF A TIE EXISTS AFTER THE COMPLETION OF PLAY, A TIE BREAKER WILL ‘ONLY’ TAKE PLACE FOR FIRST PLACE. IF A WINNER IS NOT DETERMINED BY ‘HEAD TO HEAD’ COMPETITION, THAN THE FOLLOWING (TIE BREAK FORMULA) WILL BE USE

TIE BREAKER FORMAT

A SEPARATE COURT WILL BE USED BY EACH PLAYER AS DETERMINED BY THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR. IT WILL BEGIN WITH TWO SPEED SHOTS FOLLOWED BY (8) DISC’S SHOT ONE AT A TIME (AT THE SAME TIME) BY EACH PLAYER. TOTAL POINTS WILL DETERMINE THE WINNER.

NOTE: A ‘KITCHEN’ IS MINUS (10) POINTS. SHOTS CAN BE TAKEN FROM ‘ANY’ SPOT IN THE SHOOTING AREA.
